The flow of information within the company. In the case of larger companies, this is not spontaneous, as commmunication from staff to management and the other way around needs to be established consciously. The communication between management and separate departments must also be attended to. Many projects have failed because this was lacking.
External Communication
External commmunication includes everything that the company communicates regarding itself, regardless of the method of communication. Unassuming packaging or a service mistake belongs here just like a well conducted management interview, a catchy ad slogan, or supporting a successful sporting event.
PR Communication
Press presence and fostering press relations is just as much a part of this as various corporate citizenship actions and their communication, as well as sponsorship activities. This also includes crisis communication, the organization of specific public events, or potential presence in social media.
